We present you an active tour for true conquerors of mountains peaks! Do you want to feel the red-hot breath of the planet and feel the pulse of the earth under your feet? Then welcome! You will go to the Klyuchevskoy Nature Park – truly one of the most beautiful and unique places in the world! There are 13 volcanoes concentrated in a comparatively small area, including the world-famous Klyuchevskaya Sopka (4750 m) – the highest active volcano in Eurasia. Its appearance, stateliness defies the imagination. Not far from these fire-breathing giants, there are 47 centenary glaciers. You will pass along fresh traces of lava flows, see the aftermath of grandiose eruptions of 1975–1976 and 2012–2013 years and have a unique opportunity to conquer the active volcanoes of Kamchatka, famous for their obstinate temper.


Arrival. Meeting with English-speaking guide. Short city-tour. Transfer to hotel. Check in. Rest.

Breakfast in hotel. Transfer to the State Kamchatka Joined museum or interactive museum “Volcanarium”. Excursion with lecture in museum. Sightseeing tour: Lenin Square, St. Peter & St. Paul monument, Nikolskaya hill, V. Bering monument. Lunch in city café (independent). Visit to souvenir shops and fish market. Transfer to coast of the Pacific Ocean. Walking excursion along the black sand shore. Admiring the waves. Visit to the first surf camp in Far East of Russia. Drive back to hotel. Briefing with a mountain guide and checking equipment. Optional program*: helicopter excursion (weather permitting) to Kuril lake – the Kingdom of brown bear or to the Valley of Geysers.

Breakfast. Departure by cross-country vehicles to the area of the Mutnovskaya Geothermal Station (120 km, 4 hours). Excursion to the Dachnye Thermal Springs (“mini Valley of Geysers”). Transfer to the plateau of the Mutnovsky Volcano. Setting up camp. Hot dinner by the camp-fire. Night in tents.

Breakfast. Excursion to the crater of the Mutnovsky Volcano (2323 m). The path runs through a pumiceous pass, from where there is a magnificent view on the caldera and Gorely, Opala and Asacha Volcanoes. Further, trek to the crater through the gorge along the snow patches with a slight ascending (6 km, 3h). Life here is boiling in the ordinary sense of the word. Active fumaroles, steam emissions, mud pools, a fantastic volcanic landscape as well as formation of minerals and volcanic sulfur place the Mutnovsky Volcano on the same footing as the best volcanic rocks of the world. Observation of fumarolу fields and emissions of native sulfur (2 hours). Lunch (lunch box). Trek to the picturesque waterfall in the canyon “Opasny”. Return to the camp. The total duration of the tour is 7–8 hours. Dinner. Night in tents.

Breakfast. Transfer to the foot of the Gorely Volcano (1829 m), which is a ridged massif formed of numerous confluent cones. It has several active craters. One of the most beautiful craters of the volcano is the Chasha crater, with a cold glacial lake of a greenish-blue color inside. Caldera of the Gorely Volcano is a geological natural monument. Ascent 3–4 hours. Lunch at the top (lunch box). Exploring the craters and admiring beautiful panorama. Descent. Hot dinner. Return to the hotel.

Breakfast. Departure by cross-country vehicles to Kozyrevsk settlement (502 km, 8–10 hours). Lunch in the ancient Cossack village of Milkovo. If the weather is fine, you will see the highest volcanoes of Kamchatka: Krestovsky (4057 m), Ushkovsky (3903 m), Klyuchevskoy (4750 m), Kamen’ (4,579 m), Plosky Tolbachik (3,082 m) and Ostry Tolbachik (3,672 m). Night in a guest house or in tents on the bank of the Kamchatka River.

Breakfast. Transfer to the foot of the Ostry and Plosky Tolbachik Volcanoes – the area of the Great Tolbachik Fissure Eruption in 1975–1976 years (4–5 hours). The road runs through abandoned fields, forest and ancient lava field, covered with pine trees, cedar elfin wood, berry fields and rises to the boundaries of the Dead Forest. Further, through the Dead Forest, tour to the cones of the North breach of the Great Tolbachik Fissure Eruption. Setting up camp. Lunch. Excursion to the cones. Return to the camp. Hot dinner by the fire. Night in tents.

Departure for the foot of the volcano Plosky Tolbachik (2.5 km). Ascent of the crater of the volcano Plosky Tolbachik (3082 m, 4–5 hours). Lunch at the top (lunch box). Tour round the crater and surrounding landscapes (1 hour). Plosky Tolbachik features a wide area of its apex with a shallow caldera which is 3.7 km in diameter and filled with ice. In its western part there is an active crater. The crater is about 2000 meters in diameter with the depth of about 500 m. From the top there is a circular panorama of the volcanoes of Klyuchevskaya group and a hundred of scoria cones located on the Southern slope. This is where the Great Tolbachik Fissure Eruption of 1975–1976 years occurred. Descent – 4 hours. Return to the camp. Dinner. Night in tents.

Trek to the New Tolbachik Fissure eruption of 2012–2013. Walk through lava fields and observation of the cones of the New Tolbachik Fissure eruption of 2012–2013. Observation of lava caves, fresh lava flows, both already solidified and still hot. Return to the camp. Transfer to Kozyrevsk. Russian baths. Dinner. Night in a guest house or in tents on the bank of the Kamchatka River.

Breakfast. Departure for Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. Lunch in Milkovo settlement. Accommodation in hotel.

Breakfast. Departure for the foot of the Avachinsky Volcano (50 km, 2.5–3 hours). Arrival at the camping site, located at the height of 740 m above sea level. Check-in (4–8 people in the room, sleeping bags). Acclimatization trek to Mount Verblud (Camel) (1250 m), located on the pass between Avachinsky and Koryaksky volcanoes. In fact, it is solidified lava flows, the result of eruptions and Earth’s crust motion. The mountain has two sharp peaks, that is why it got its name. It is a geological natural monument. Watching panoramic views of the volcanoes Avachinsky (2751 m), Koryak (3456 m), Zhupanovsky (2300 m), Vilyuchinsky (2175 m), Dzenzur (2923 m). Photographing. Watching marmots (tarbagans). Return to the camp. Hot dinner. Night in the camp.

Breakfast. Ascent of the crater of the Avachinsky Volcano (2751 m). The path runs along the western slope of the volcano and the ridged crest of the ancient stratovolcano. The jamb of the slope in the pre-hill reaches 30°. From the top there is a beautiful view on the volcanoes of the Zhupanovskaya group, the Kozelsky Volcano, vast expanses of the Pacific Ocean, the massive cone of the Koryak Volcano (3456 m). Lunch on the top (lunch box). The duration of the ascent is 6–8 hours (8 km), descent is 3–4 hours. Dinner. Drive back to the hotel.

Breakfast. Transfer to the seaport, boarding the boat. Voyage through Avacha Bay and the natural monument Starichkov Island (6 hours). Sightseeing the panorama of the city from the sea, stones “Three brothers”, “Grandma’s stone”. Going out through the Avacha Bay into the Pacific Ocean. Passage to Starichkov Island, watching seashore colonies of birds. Ocean fishing near Starichkov Island. Passage to the Tikhaya Bay. A diver rises urchins, crabs, sea stars and so on from the bottom of sea. Fishing for greenling, flounder, bullhead, and halibut. Lunch on board. Return to the city. Transfer to the ethno center and a kennel of sled dogs. Acquaintance with the culture and the way of life of the indigenous peoples of Kamchatka. A cynological excursion around the kennel, acquaintance with its inhabitants – participants of the legendary sled dog race “Beringia”. Farewell dinner with local dishes. Transfer to the hotel.

Breakfast. Transfer to the airport with a stop at the fish market. Departure.
